Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
I am a psychotherapist/clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. I provide individual therapy for adolescents, adults and clinical supervision to social workers.
My professional experiences has provided me with the opportunity to expand and cultivate a set of culturally humble skills that allow me to implement a holistic approach and pay special attention to the impact of intersectionalities. I help individuals address concerns pertaining to depression, anxiety, past traumas, relationship issues, life transitions, acculturation and parent-child relationship.
My academic credentials include an MSW from Lehman College’s Social Work Program and currently working on a PhD in Social Work at Adelphi University. My research focuses on the impact of post-traumatic growth on marginalized communities that face complex health outcomes and quality of life. I practice within a psychodynamic approach often integrating evidenced based models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I provide clinical supervision to MSW graduates, LMSW, and LCSWs. I am Adjunct Faculty at Adelphi’s School of Social Work.
