Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Embarking on a therapeutic relationship is a courageous decision. I aim to foster a relationship that is compassionate, free of judgment and a place where you can express your truest thoughts and feelings.
I believe that healing happens through connection. Using an interpersonal approach, I will listen to your unique concerns and help you to understand the stories you have developed about yourself. We will address the patterns that keep you feeling stuck in your challenges, and help you create movement towards a life of greater meaning and purpose
I have specialized training and expertise working with trauma, addiction, depression, and anxiety. I provide LGBTQ+ affirmative and racially conscious therapy, and have particular interest in working with individuals dealing with issues related to gender and sexuality, identity formation, and life transitions.
I hold a Masters in Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College with an advanced graduate certificate in childhood trauma. Prior to joining Erika Cooley Therapy, I worked in an intensive outpatient program with individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
