Dr. Kennedy is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Midtown Manhattan. She treats adolescents and adults. She helps people sort through challenges, better understand themselves, and make real, meaningful changes in their lives. Dr. Kennedy has been trained in a variety of theories and approaches, which allows her to tailor treatment to meet each patient’s needs. Most frequently, she draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and relational psychotherapy. She is active, problem-focused, and pragmatic, and therapy is aimed toward symptom relief and skill-building.

Dr. Kennedy is experienced in working with people dealing with a wide range of issues, including: depression, anxiety and panic, eating disorders and body image concerns, infertility and loss, and relationship and intimacy problems.

In addition to her work as a clinical psychologist, Dr. Kennedy offers parent coaching and consultation. Drawing from her training in early childhood development and Parent Management Training (PMT), she provides education, support, and practical guidance for approaching the challenges of parenthood. Consultation topics might include separation difficulties, toilet training, discipline strategies, or preparing for a new sibling.

Dr. Kennedy completed a B.A. in Psychology and Human Development, summa cum laude, from Duke University and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University.
