Susan Scheftel is a clinical psychologist and child psychoanalyst. She is a graduate of the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, where she is also on the faculty. She teaches in the Columbia Psychoanalytic Training Program, the Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Program and the Parent Infant Program. She supervises clinical psychology students in the City College Clinical Psychology Program and trainees in the Columbia Adult Psychotherapy Program. She has presented on a variety of topics and has authored papers on childhood, creativity and nannies. She has a blog on Psychology Today called Evolving Minds.
