Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW-R
During the COVID crisis, I am conducting teletherapy and am accepting new clients who reside in either NY or CT.
I am a psychotherapist with a private practice in Midtown Manhattan. During the past 15 years, I have had the privilege of witnessing adults recover in the aftermath of life-threatening events, sexual violation, and devastating loss. My expertise is posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma- or stressor-related disorders, and brief, evidence-based, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapies. I also ultilize psychodynamic psychotherapy. In addition to my work with trauma survivors, I have extensive experience helping those who are unsatisfied with their lives, who have relationship troubles, or who are struggling with life transitions and loss.
In addition to my clinical work, I am a Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD trainer and consultant, teaching CPT to mental health professionals in the United States, Canada, and England. For more than a decade, I worked with veterans with PTSD at VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven, CT. A graduate of Smith College School for Social Work, I am currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Yale School of Medicine, and an Adjunct Lecturer at New York University Silver School for Social Work.
