I specialize in the interplay between mind and body, offering both psychoanalytic-oriented psychotherapy and bodywork techniques inspired by Alexander Technique and extensive training in somatic therapy. I also completed a 3 year training in psychodynmanic therapy which further informs my work. My approach is grounded in empathy and a deep understanding of the mind-body connection.
I provide talk therapy, focusing on attentive listening to verbal expressions, and somatic therapy, utilizing a professional touch approach to access emotions not easily revealed through traditional psychoanalysis. I am trained in the Alexander Technique, which I use in my somatic sessions. This evidence-based intervention not only facilitates the release of negative emotions but also lowers cortisol levels, aids in trauma resolution, and enhances resilience.
I bring a diverse range of modalities to my practice, including individual therapy, couples therapy shaped by the principles of the Gottman Method, and bereavement counseling (offered in both individual and group settings, further details available on my Brooklyn Bereavement page).
My specializations include empathetic listening, guiding individuals in accessing emotions within the body, and addressing various forms of trauma, including abuse and medical trauma. I focus on resolving vertical energy flow and dismantling horizontal blocks rooted in trauma. This holistic approach not only forges new neural pathways but is particularly effective in alleviating stress-related disorders and breaking free from the patterns of fight, flight, or freeze.
Embark on a transformative journey with me, where innovative techniques spearhead positive change in both your body and mind.
