Volunteers serving on the Membership Committee (MC) respond to inquiries about membership-related matters from applicants and current members; verify the licenses of all new applicants and oversee the automated WMHC membership renewal process. The Chair of the MC oversees the training of new volunteers in the policies and procedures relating to membership.

Volunteers serving on the Education Committee (EC) plan and execute WMHC’s educational programming including Webinars, Quarterly Meetings, and case consultations. For each educational offering, volunteers to the EC research, contact, and coordinate with potential presenters for trainings/webinars/case consultations. The EC schedules the presenters and inform members by email and on WMHC’s website of upcoming events. The EC also answers WMHC members’ questions regarding educational matters. The Chair of the EC introduces the speaker and facilitates the Q&A portion of the educational events. The Chair also oversees the training of new volunteers in the policies and procedures relating to WMHC’s educational programming.
Social Action Committee
The Social Action Committee strives to elevate opportunities for WMHC members to engage in key social issues impacting women’s mental health. It aims to do so through increasing awareness of relevant current events or training opportunities, providing a forum for volunteerism, and annual charitable giving. Overall, the committee is dedicated to creating an organizational culture that supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility for its members and ongoing participation in social action as mental health professionals.
Volunteers to the Events Committee (EVC) handle the “event planning” aspects of in-person events. Volunteers research venues for in-person events, plan the menu, oversee RSVP and communicate head count to caterers. Volunteers register and greets members upon arrival at WMHC events. Volunteers coordinate between the Education Committee, the Board of Directors and WMHC’s Treasurer and the venue where the event is held.
Early Career Members Committee
Volunteers serving on the Early Career Members Committee (ECMC) propose events and program to serve the needs of WMHC’s early career members. The Chair of the ECM oversees the training of new volunteers in the policies and procedures relating to WMHC’s early career members.
Continuing Education Credit Coordinator
The Continuing Education Credit Coordinator (CECC) obtains CE approval for relevant educational events and facilitates CE certificate distribution. This volunteer responds to WMHC members’ questions about CE related matters.
