Jordana began at MGH as a researcher investigating the neural pathways of thought disorders and the brilliant mind. She became fascinated with restructuring negative thought patterns and enhancement of cognitive abilities, and was inspired to transition from research to clinical practice.

Jordana is a Doctorally prepared Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 15 years of health care experience. She received her Doctorate and Masters degrees from the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) IHP in Boston. Jordana began at MGH as a researcher investigating the neural pathways of thought disorders and the brilliant mind. She became fascinated with restructuring negative thought patterns and enhancement of cognitive abilities, and was inspired to transition from research to clinical practice.

Her vast experiences as a researcher, nurse, and clinical nurse specialist inform her understanding of human emotions and enhance her ability to diagnose and manage various psychological and psychiatric conditions. She has expertise in treating depression, anxiety, attentional disorders, addictions, panic, bipolar disorder, and other conditions such as insomnia.

She is trained in motivational interviewing and focuses on creating a therapeutic environment where clients are free to share their inner experience and emotions. Using an eclectic approach which incorporates holistic and psychopharmacology techniques, Jordana works with clients across the lifespan, including adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. She recognizes that medications affect everyone differently, and customizes treatment for each individual client. Her main goal is to maximize treatment benefits with minimal side effects.

Jordana relocated to NYC in 2010 to join the National Health Service Corp. She worked at NYU Langone’s Brooklyn campus with underserved clients from 2010 to 2016. Jordana continues to moonlight at NYU Langone Hospital. She has been a board member of Nurse Practitioners of NY since 2010. She is the present Chair of the Educational Committee and strives to bring continuing education to primary care and specialty health care professionals in the NYC area. She has lectured to numerous primary care practitioners on psychopharmacological therapies.
