Who provides CEs for WMHC courses? 

Beginning September 2024 WMHC is partnering with CE-Go for co-sponsorship, to host the zoom room for webinars, and to provide CEs to our members, both for live events and for self-study (aka self-paced) webinars/courses.

Who is eligible to receive CEs from WMHC?

Only WMHC members are eligible to receive CE contact hours because they are a membership benefit. CE-Go provides CE credits for most mental health professions.

Does CE-Go provide CEs for my license?

Ce-Go operates under the name: CE Learning Systems, which is on the New York State approved list for psychologists (click here). They are also approved as a provider by the American Psychological Association.

CE-Go is also an approved CE provider for a variety of NYS boards in addition to psychology. This includes Social Workers, LNHCs, and MFTs, as well as LCATs for qualifying events. 

They do not specifically offer NJ or CT state board approval; however various state board administrative codes suggest that NJ Counselors and MFTs will accept APA CEs (although NJ social work board will not). Likewise, CT counselors, social workers, and MFTs would be covered under the APA approval. 

*State Board decisions can change and we always suggest that licensees clarify with their boards to ensure the offered CEs would be accepted.

How do I obtain CEs?

To obtain CEs  for a WMHC live webinar, in-person training event, or self study/self-paced webinar you must register with CE-Go in advance for each event.  To do so please go to the event’s page and follow the button that says REGISTER FOR CE-GO EVENT. (You can find the event’s page by following the EVENT/CE tab on the top right corner of our website, or by following an event link that was distributed via a WMHC Announcement email.)

For live events you can register up until the event’s start time. Note: you must be logged in to the event for its entirety to be eligible to obtain CEs for the live course.

Please note:

• You must be an active member, logged into your WMHC account, in order to access the register button.
• You must be logged into your WMHC account in order to register with CE-Go for WMHC events and courses. 
  
• To access any WMHC course or to register for a WMHC event with CE-Go, you must use the same email when registering with CE-Go that you use for your WMHC account.
• Registration links will not be posted on an event page until the course has been approved for CEs. 

How do I register to attend a live event or self-study (aka self-paced) course for CEs?

1. From the event page, scroll down to the MEMBERS ONLY section. (You must be logged in to access this.) Click the button that says: REGISTER FOR CE-GO EVENT (this will take you to the CE-Go event/course page) Note: Registration links will not be posted until the course has been approved for CEs. 
   
   
2. From there you will find a pink banner which reads (as an example): 
   
   EARN 1.5 CE CREDIT HOURS 
   CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
   
   
3. Click REGISTER You will then see: 
   
   Order Summary $0 
   [Course Name]
   
   
4. Scroll down and click the purple Register button. 
   
   
5. You will then be prompted to fill out their registration form, which asks for your name and email. You must use the same email address you use for your WMHC account.
   
   
6. Click Submit.
   
   
7. You will see a receipt that reads: 
   
   Total $0 
   Success 
   
   Thank you for your registration! You will receive an email with a receipt of your payment as well as instructions for the event. We look forward to seeing you! 
   
   
8. Check your email for confirmation of your registration. Your confirmation email will show:
   
   Sender:    Women’s Mental Health Consortium
   Address:  support@ceactivities.com 
   Subject:   Thank You for Registering! 
   
   *This email will contain the event details and blue button link to your Attendee Dashboard. 
   
   
9. Follow the Attendee Dashboard link to access your CE-Go account, webinar link, and to obtain your certificates. 
   
   *Your Attendee Dashboard link should not be shared with others; it is a unique link for you to access the course and obtain your certificate. 

Obtaining your CE Certificate

How do I obtain my certificate for a live webinar event?

After the event has concluded, if you were present for the time threshold required by the licensing boards, within 24 hours you will see a start evaluation button appear where the join webinar button was on your attendee dashboard. Once you complete the evaluation you will then be able to download your certificate.

(Before the start evaluation button appears, you will see “processing attendance”).

Within 24 hours following the live webinar, you will receive an email prompting you to complete your evaluation & download your certificate.

Note: Evaluations can be completed at any time. They do not have to be completed  immediately.

How do I obtain my certificate for a self-study (aka self-paced) course?

Upon completion of a self-study course you will be eligible to take the exam. You will have three attempts to pass an exam. Once you pass the exam you will be able to download your certificate from your attendee dashboard.  

How do I obtain my certificate for an in-person event?

When you attend an in-person seminar, a verification code word will be revealed during the seminar for attendance tracking. To access your evaluation and obtain your certificate, after the session concludes:

1. From your registration email click the blue Attendee Dashboard button. 
(To find this you can search for mail from <support@ceactivities.com > )
2. From your Attendee Dashboard click the green I Attended This Session button
3. Enter the Verification Code Word given during the Seminar and click the blue Next button
4. Click the blue Start Evaluation button

Once you complete the evaluation you will then be able to download your certificate.

How is attendance tracked for live webinars?

Zoom tracks when you sign in and out of the webinar and provides CE-Go with a time-stamped roster. CE regulating bodies require that you are present for the entire presentation, so please be sure to arrive on time and stay through the presentation. 

I can’t attend the live webinar. Will it be recorded?

 All of our webinars are recorded. Recorded webinars will be released as self-study (aka self-paced) webinars promptly upon coordination with CE-Go.
