I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with expertise in CBT for anxiety, stress, panic, OCD, and mood disorders. I am the Founder and Director of Together CBT, a private practice specializing in CBT for anxiety and related conditions. I have been training students for over a decade and I am currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at Ferkauf (Yeshiva), an Educational Consultant at Mount Sinai Hospital, and a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University. I was an Assistant Professor of Psychology at The Ohio State University and have published over 60 scientific articles on anxiety disorders and emotion regulation. Most recently, I authored a chapter on Anxiety Disorders for the prestigious Handbook of Emotion Regulation by James Gross. My work has been recognized by the top professional associations: I was named a Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Science (APS) and received an Early Career Award by the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT).
I have held several leadership positions in professional associations in my field: I was a Member of the Clinical Practice Guidelines Workforce of the American Psychological Association (APA), a Communications Director for the Anxiety Disorders Special Interest Group of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), and a member of the Continuing Education Committee of ABCT. Following my career in academia, I spent two years at a “Big 3” management consulting firm (Boston Consulting Group), where I helped some of the world’s largest companies develop customer-centric growth strategies. In this role, I developed an expertise in marketing, sales, and pricing.
I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Yale University, my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania (with Honors in Psychology, summa cum laude, & Phi Beta Kappa) and I completed my APA-approved internship at Weill Cornell / New York Presbyterian Hospital.
I am licensed in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Virginia, and I hold a telehealth permit for Florida.
