I was originally trained as a child psychologist and have 20+ years experience working with children and their families. Subsequently, I became certified as an IMAGO relationship therapist and started to incorporate IMAGO ideas in both individual and couples sessions to help clients create healthier relationships in their lives. Together, we figure out client's relationship patterns, the causes of conflict in their relationships, and ways to heal those parts of the self that are more difficult to access. Through our work, clients learn to increase their flexibility, become more effective in their relationships, and live with more intention.
As a gay identified therapist, I also work at empowering LGBTQ+ clients throughout the various stages of their identity formation. While my research focused on fathering and gay fathers in particular, I have become curious about how our society understands masculine and feminine energy and how certain conditioning can affect the way we relate to ourselves and to others.
I offer parenting groups to caregivers using IMAGO based training and mindfulness techniques that provide caregivers with tools to help limit the power struggles and allow both themselves and their children to feel more empowered.
