Psychologist
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Certified Group Psychotherapist in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Before establishing my own private practice, I worked as an assistant professor and supervising clinical psychologist at Columbia University Medical Center and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I completed my post-doctoral fellowship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center – Zucker Hillside Hospital. I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from Long Island University – Post and completed my internship at Kings County Hospital Center.
I am a faculty member of The Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society’s (EGPS) group psychotherapy training program, teaching group psychotherapy, and I have been working with group psychotherapy organizations throughout the country on dismantling oppression in clinical and organizational settings.
My approach to psychotherapy, teaching, and supervising is informed by multiple schools of thought including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, Art Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Relational Psychotherapy. I am informed by trauma healing, feminist, queer, and anti-oppression theories. My style is interactive, practical, and infused with sensitivity and a sense of humor.
I have extensive experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community, Childfree people, polyamorous/ethical non-monogamous, people with multiple aspect of marginalized identities, and anyone who is looking to deepen their understanding of self and others.
