Dr. Adrienne Katzow is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 14 years of clinical experience working with adults in individual psychotherapy. She specializes in women’s mental health with a focus on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, reproductive concerns, and eating and body image issues. She also has expertise in the treatment of developmental trauma and trauma related to the perinatal period. Dr. Katzow is a psychodynamic psychotherapist who takes an integrative approach, which utilizes different interventions from psychodynamic, behavioral and somatic therapies (EMDR) to best suit and meet the needs of each individual patient. Her therapeutic style is empathic, open and interactive.

Dr. Katzow graduated from Vassar College and received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The New School for Social Research. She completed her clinical internship at Lenox Hill Hospital and has received advanced and specialized training in the treatment of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders through Postpartum Support International, The Postpartum Stress Center and The Seleni Institute. In addition, she has postgraduate training in the treatment of eating problems from The Women's Therapy Centre Institute (WTCI).

Dr. Katzow recently received advanced training in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) for processing and healing trauma related to the perinatal period. Dr. Katzow is currently a psychoanalytic candidate at the Westchester Center for the Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (WCSPP). She is also a consultant for A Bridge Home, which provides in-home psychotherapy for new mothers. She is a member of Postpartum Support International, The Hudson Valley Birth Network and The Women’s Mental Health Consortium. She has a private practice in Irvington, New York.
