Clinical Social Work/Therapist
New York
In undergraduate school, I majored in psychology and minored in peer counseling. I pursued clinical social work in graduate school. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have assisted my clients with dismantling their internalized stigmas surrounding their mental health challenges. Together, we have acknowledged the impact of social injustices on their mental and physical well-being. I believe that our environment significantly impacts how we perceive and operate in the world; however, I practice through the lens that our upbringing does not determine the trajectory of our lives. We all have the power to heal and progress interpersonally and intrapersonally. I have created a safe space for clients to share their experiences, and it has been a privilege to see them excel. I am committed to continuing this work with my future clients.I am a licensed clinical social worker who works with adults seeking mental health treatment. I work with individuals who suffer from trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and a myriad of other life transitional issues. I work with my clients to identify adaptive and sustainable coping strategies that can enhance their overall mental well-being. I am extremely passionate about providing empowerment, empathy, compassion, and respect to others in need of mental health support. The modalities that I utilize are dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Together, we will create a collaborative treatment plan that embodies specific goals and objectives that you want to work on. I am here to help you understand your past and present experiences on a deeper level. I strongly believe that you are destined for greatness and believe that we can do this together!I am zealous about providing trauma work, and I continually enhance my knowledge by reading evidence-based literature and taking continuing education courses on a diversity of topics, such as EMDR and IFS.
