Ali Swoish, LMHC, is presently the Assistant Director at the Iona University Counseling Center, specializing in individual and group psychotherapy for college and graduate students. Her areas of expertise include neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+ issues, depression, anxiety, relationship dynamics, identity exploration, and self-esteem, particularly in supporting neurodivergent, queer, and/or disabled folks. Ali also has a strong passion for working with competitive athletes, dancers, and creatives. Ali employs a relational and psychodynamic approach, informed by a multicultural lens, and grounded in principles of disability justice and neurodiversity.

Transitioning into private practice, Ali aims to extend her services beyond the college setting, offering both short-term and long-term therapy options, as well as supervision and workshops. Her commitment to intersectionality, accessibility, and client autonomy ensures a tailored approach to each individual's therapeutic journey.
