With each patient, I start from a place of genuine compassion and empathic attunement, and then I look to a variety of therapeutic perspectives to help individualize treatment for each patient. I have been lucky to receive training in numerous treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based approaches, and Emotion Focused Therapy. I integrate these perspectives to create a warm, accepting therapeutic style that is informed by clinical science, and I also emphasize the unique personal values, identities, and cultural backgrounds of each client and couple with whom I work.

I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the College of William and Mary, a Master’s in Psychology from Villanova University, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from St. John’s University. I participated in clinical training in hospitals and clinics throughout New York City, including a Predoctoral Internship at Northwell Health and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at VA NY Harbor, Manhattan Campus.

After my training, I served as a Staff Psychologist at VA NY Harbor, where I provided evidence-based individual and couples therapy to military veterans and their families. At the VA, I participated in the Eating Disorders Team and have extensive experience providing evidence-based care (including CBT-E) to patients with disordered eating. In addition, I am a Certified EFT Therapist and have worked extensively with couples to address relationship concerns. I’m currently providing care at NYU’s Military Family Clinic, and I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at NYU’s School of Medicine.
