I have been a psychotherapist and a neuropsychologist for over 25 years. As a therapist, I have extensive experience working with individuals in all stages of the life cycle; childhood, adolescence and adulthood. Each developmental stage has its own struggles and requires specific adaptations and interventions. Psychotherapy must be a collaborative and individualized journey. By understanding our emotional states and behavior patterns we are able to develop a greater sense of control and new and more effective strategies/skills to cope with life's stresses. I utilize an insight oriented approach in addition to targeted behavioral intervention and specific educational strategies with parents and families.
Neuropsychological testing involves the comprehensive evaluation of cognitive, academic, neurological and psychological functions. The testing is utilized to diagnose and/or evaluate individuals with Attention Deficit Disorder, verbal and non-verbal learning disorders, neurological disorders including traumatic brain injury, and psychiatric disorders. I assess children and adults ages 5 through senior years.
