Dr. Basha Silver is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist and the founder and director of Silver Therapy Group. Her areas of expertise include anxiety (social anxiety, panic, phobias, uncontrollable worry), OCD, and depression. She also specializes in reproductive-related mental health challenges (e.g. infertility, postpartum depression and anxiety, pregnancy loss), parenting concerns, and relationship transitions such as marriage and divorce. Additionally, she enjoys working with individuals navigating challenges related to young adulthood, including dating concerns, the adjustment to and from college, and early career anxieties.

Dr. Silver is a New York City native and obtained her bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and doctoral degree from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. Throughout her career she has worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, college counseling centers, and private practices. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Cognitive Therapy for Women Psychological Services, where she received advanced training in women’s mental health. In addition to maintaining a private practice, she also provides clinical supervision to doctoral students at the New School for Social Research and Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. In her free time she enjoys cooking, painting, and hiking.
