Bonnie Siegel Weisenberg, LCSW-R (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is licensed in New York. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. For the last 23 years, she has provided a combination of individual, family, group and couples therapy to child, adolescent and adult clients. Ms. Weisenberg is a graduate of the Ackerman Institute for the Family externship and completed the DBT Intensive training. She brings warmth, compassion, curiosity, a strengths based, culturally humble, collaborative approach as well as a wealth of professional and personal experience to her work. She treats individuals with anxiety, issues around emotion regulation, trauma and executive functioning issues. In working with couples and families, she utilizes a family systems approach and combines this with cognitive behavioral and DBT approaches. Ms. Weisenberg is thrilled to announce she recently joined Mindwell NYC, a private group practice specializing in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Prior to this, she spent many years in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within the Mount Sinai Hospital System, and provided therapy, supervised, taught, directed and coordinated programs. She also served on various social work, psychiatry and hospital wide committees and and is grateful for her time at Mount Sinai and all if the opportunities it afforded her. Ms. Weisenberg additionally saw families and couples in private practice for several years. Ms. Weisenberg was a recipient of the National Association of Social Workers New York City Chapter Emerging Leaders Award. Ms. Weisenberg earned her MSW with honors at Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work in New York. She graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with B.A. in Psychology and Spanish and was a member of Psi Chi, Psychology Honor Society.
