My approach to therapy is psychodynamic, focusing on unconscious processes as they manifest in current behavior, and somatic, attending to the ways psychological experience is held in the body. I am strongly influenced by Jungian psychology, which I am currently studying at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zürich. I'm also trained in DBT and mindfulness-based interventions, and I integrate these modalities to meet the unique needs of each person with whom I work.

In addition to my clinical practice, I've been teaching yoga and meditation for 14 years and have served as a hospice volunteer for more than a decade. These roles have given me the opportunity to work with people across the lifespan and across a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, identity and body image concerns, relationship issues, grief and loss, life transitions, chronic and terminal illness, and spiritual or existential crises.

I hold an MSEd in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College and a BA from New York University, with post-baccalaureate studies at the University of Pennsylvania. I offer both online and in-person sessions at Union Square Psychotherapy, a group private practice with offices in Manhattan just south of Union Square.
