Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
I work with individuals and couples in my private practice located on the UWS of Manhattan. My work is informed by the belief that our physical and emotional well being are connected.
My approach to individual and couples therapy is one that is supportive, practical and solution focused. I believe that every human being has strengths and resources within themselves. As a trained relational therapist I help you understand how past family history influences your current life choices and help you shift in ways that expand your capacity to grow and flourish. Often our bodies hold the key to what we are struggling with, as well as our path toward healing. I utilize somatic experiencing, a trauma treatment approach, to relieve symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and related emotional and physical health problems. I integrate my training in relational therapy and trauma to offer a holistic approach toward treatment.
When working with couples, I strive to help people to decrease conflict and develop a relationship they mutually desire. I work utilizing EFT and attachement theory, somatic experiencing and mindfulness.
In addition to my private practice I am a Lecturer at Columbia University School of Social Work.
