Life experiences, both traumatic and seemingly ordinary, can leave us with no choice but to develop coping strategies that can be lifesaving in the moment but eventually lead us away from our authentic selves. Therapy can be a beneficial way to stabilize from these experiences, reclaim our sense of self, and reduce toxic shame.

I am a relational therapist and specialize in exploring patterns that come from our families of origin, relationships with ourselves, with our friends, romantic partners, and children, as well as relationships with food and substances. I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs by incorporating modalities such as Internal Family Systems, psychodynamic psychotherapy, somatic work, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. Regardless of approach, what is transformative in therapy occurs in the relational dynamic.

I am committed to practicing from an anti-oppressive, inclusive, and culturally responsive framework. I also bring a practical mindset based on my own varied life experiences, including a prior career as a lawyer and as a parent and partner. As part of my practice, I provide treatment for mental health issues related to professional struggles, such as burnout, perfectionism, career transitions, and work-life balance.

I have advanced training in family and couples therapy from the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy where I am currently a staff therapist and in Internal Family Systems from the IFS Institute. I work with couples and families experiencing conflict or navigating challenges. Some of my specialities include perinatal and postpartum challenges, parenting, blending cultural identities, recovering from infidelity, and exploring consensual non-monogamy.
