Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
I am a couples specialist treating couples throughout life cycle of relationships. I provide a secure and stable environment to help couples find the best path forward, whether that’s staying together or beginning new lives apart. My practice models include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Discernment Counseling for couples considering whether or not to divorce, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I am also a trained divorce mediator and can help couples make all divorce related decisions and avoid traditional litigation.
I have been licensed clinical social worker in New York City since 2002 when I graduated from the Simmons College School of Social Work. My experience is varied, having worked in different hospitals and social service agencies. In 2010 I completed the Two Year Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy training program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, and launched my private practice.
In 2016 I completed multiple training programs at The Center for Mediation and Training and in 2018 I was named their Director of Outreach. I see divorce mediation as a therapeutic process for the entire family, and a healthy approach to a very difficult time in life. My additional professional interests include parenting challenges, prenuptial agreements and short term support group work.
