I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice on the Upper East Side. I utilize a psychodynamic approach as well as systems and strengths based perspectives. I currently help individuals, couples and families who are struggling with a variety of stressors such as relationship issues, communication problems, anxiety, stress, depression, grief, major life transitions and physical disability.
Previously, I spent four years working with patients and their families at Mount Sinai Hospital who were dealing with chronic pain and spinal cord injuries. As part of an interdisciplinary team including neurosurgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, physical therapists and occupational therapists, I attained a holistic view of a person by looking at their medical, psycho-social, and social needs. I have since received 2 years of advanced training in Family and Couples Therapy from the Insitute for Contemporary Psychotherapy.
