Carrie Watt is a psychotherapist in private practice in Downtown Brooklyn, treating adolescents and adults in individual treatment and couples. She also provides clinical supervision to therapists working in school settings. Her clinical work integrates drama therapy, Internal Family Systems, somatic, and psychodynamic approaches, with an emphasis on expressive and experiential methods for clients for whom conventional talk therapy has stalled. Subspecialties include women in life transition, mothers, adolescent development and identity, masculinity and men's issues, anxiety, perfectionism and burnout, and self-esteem. She is currently completing training in the Family and Couples Treatment Service (FACTS) program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. Ms. Watt is a New York State Licensed Creative Arts Therapist and a Registered Drama Therapist, who received her Master's degree at New York University. She is a member of the North American Drama Therapy Association.
