I specialize in working with women struggling with anxiety and depression, self-esteem, and grief and loss. As a Certified Perinatal Mental Health specialist, I also provide care to women navigating pregnancy, fertility challenges, loss, and adjustment during the perinatal phase. Therapy with me is a compassionate, collaborative process in a safe, judgment-free space. Through an emotionally-focused framework, with an attachment-focused orientation and an emphasis on the experiential process, I offer steadfast support and a place to put down the heavy things my clients have been carrying. I weave in my training in CBT, DBT and mindfulness practices where useful to provide a robust therapeutic experience that meets clients where they are on their unique journey.
My clients practice processing difficult emotions and breaking unhelpful patterns; they grow in insight, nurture hope, embrace self-compassion, and step authentically into every aspect of life with renewed trust in themselves. The women I work with are juggling all the demands of life--work, school, parenting, caregiving and more--but need a space that's just for them, a place to feel supported as they invest in themselves, prioritize their own needs and work through the difficult parts of life. My approach helps clients identify the places where they are feeling stuck and support them in practicing new ways of relating, embracing vulnerability, and celebrating change on the path to hope and healing.
I became a therapist because I believe that when we step into the opportunity to do deep and meaningful work, we grow in self-compassion, cultivate hope, and find healing. I find that the courage my clients bring to this work is a continued source of meaning, hope and inspiration.
