With over 25 years of experience in traditional practice, veterans facilities, andinstitutional settings, Dr. Krassner has spent his career focused on individualizedtreatment strategies. A specialist in psychopharmacology, he works with treatments forpatients managing depression, anxiety, and ADHD.
Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Krassner earned his BA in English from UCDavis and his MD from the University of Rochester in New York. Throughout his career,he’s worked in diverse settings, including the Department of Veterans Affairs,community health centers, and prison populations.
“I have been exposed to a wide range of diagnoses and medical histories,” he says. “Ithas forced me to be more flexible and creative regarding treatment options.” Hebelieves “no two cases are alike, even if the diagnosis is the same.”
While his practice focuses on medication management, he works in conjunction withtherapists to ensure complete care. “The vast majority of the people I see want to trymeds first,” he says. He maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging treatments likeketamine and TMS.
Dr. Krassner started working with telemedicine in 2020 and sees it as “a boon to thefield,” noting that “patients who formerly had difficulty getting to appointments, either for logistic reasons or psychiatric impediments, now have an opportunity to access quality care from their homes.”
He enjoys music, literature, baseball, and chess outside his practice.
