I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY currently providing video psychotherapy sessions. I see adolescents, adults, and couples who are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, relationship and family issues, academic stressors, and identity development. I approach psychotherapy holistically, integrating models such as CBT, Internal Family Systems Theory, The Ackerman Relational Approach and Trauma Theory. Working in an environment focused on social justice, it is important to me to be able to help you navigate issues related to experiences of racism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and sexism.
I have my Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience & Behavior and Master's Degree in Social Work from Columbia University. I have postgraduate training in couples and family therapy from The Ackerman Institute, as well as postgraduate training as an Internal Family Systems Therapist. Prior to starting in private practice, I have provided psychotherapy in community-based and school-based settings.
I will work with you collaboratively to understand your experience, your joy, your pain, your struggles, and your goals. We all have different parts of us that make up who we are, and help us learn and grow. They influence how we feel about ourselves, our relationships, and our environments. You may have a self-critical part, a hopeless part, a caretaking part, and many more. I truly enjoy getting to know each new client's inner world, and helping you harness your own self-love for transformative healing. As we work together, you will better understand why you think and feel the way you do, which can help you build healthy relationships and make choices that bring you closer to how you want to live. If that sounds interesting to you, send an email or schedule a call, and we can see if we're a good fit!
