I am a licensed clinical psychologist, faculty researcher, and public speaker. My work collectively focuses on the alleviation of relationship and family distress in underrepresented populations, with a specific emphasis on Black couples and family systems.

As a researcher, I have two primariy goals. A) identify culturally unique factors that mitigate destructive processes in marginalized communities and B) develop effective culturally relevant interventions.

Clinically, I specialize in getting individuals and couples “unstuck” from the underlying destructive patterns that often fuel distress. I have extensive training in evidenced based interventions to help individuals and couples break free from the cycles and stuck points that keep clients feeling trapped and unfulfilled. I work from a multicultural framework and am especially attuned to all the ways our instersecting social identities shape our experiences and relationships. I have a background working with a range of marginalized populations, and am committed to flexibly applying evidenced-based interventions in a culturally sensitive way.
