I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in research supported treatments for childhood anxiety, specific phobias, behavioral disorders, parenting, selective mutism, executive functioning, and depressive disorders. I have intensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). Additionally, I have training in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings including Scarsdale Middle School, the Child Mind Institute, and most recently Cognitive Behavioral Consultants. I completed my APA Accredited pre-doctoral internship at Westchester Community Services (WJCS) in Hartsdale, New York.

Prior to being a psychologist, I worked as a middle school special education teacher on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. I hold a master’s degree and Doctor of Psychology in School Psychology from St. John's University, and a dual master’s degree in Special and General Education from Bank Street College of Education. I conducted research at St John’s University on the role of overprotective parenting on test anxiety and test performance on the Algebra I Regents. Additionally, I am a member of several professional psychological associations including the American Psychological Association and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, and am a Diplomate and Certified Member of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy.

I care deeply about the individuals and families I work with, and work collaboratively with them to identify their goals in treatment. From there, we identify ways to meet these goals using science backed treatments and techniques. I take care in speaking to outside providers, including medication providers, schools and other individuals to maximize treatment effectiveness. In addition, I have extensive experience in psychoeducational assessments. I work with schools, parents and patients to understand the results of the evaluations, how their challenges impact them on a daily basis, and ways to help them learn strategies to accommodate for weaknesses, and leverage their strengths. I work with patients to help increase their belief in their ability to tackle challenges.
