My primary aim as a psychologist is to help individuals gain greater self-awareness and self-compassion, empowering them to understand their relational needs and gain the tools to meet them. Using a collaborative and client-centered approach, I work with my clients to create interventions that are individualized and sensitive. Together, we'll engage in an exploration of you and your relationships, and we'll work together to increase your sense of empowerment, self-control, and self-compassion.
I received my Ph.D. from The City University of New York, completed postdoctoral training at Columbia University's Counseling & Psychological Services and pre-doctoral training at North Central Bronx Hospital.
I have training and experience in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally focused couples thearpy (EFT), and trauma-focused treatments, including trauma-focused CBT for children and adults. I have a particular expertise in the area of interpersonal trauma, helping individuals who have experienced abuse or assault.
