Nicole King

My name is Dr. Nicole King and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in working with children and parents. I graduated with a Doctorate of Psychology from Hofstra University’s School-Community Psy.D program.

Prior to graduate school, I graduated cum laude from Villanova University where I earned a B.A. in psychology and Spanish.

I have worked in clinical (private practice) and a variety of elementary, middle, and high school settings with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and parents. I have experience and expertise in the evidence-based treatment of anxiety disorders, depressive and other mood disorders, behavioral disorders, learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and parent training.

I conduct individual psychotherapy, parent management training and parent coaching, consultation services, and neuropsychological assessments.

Drawing from extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), exposure-based therapies, and psychodynamic therapy, combined with understanding the unique individual needs of each one of my patients, I strive to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative space for growth, skill-building, and healing.

I have developed particular expertise in working with children and parents. I find it incredibly rewarding to help parents better understand and relate to their children, and help children develop the skills they need to excel in their futures.
