Dr. Rene Zweig specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for a variety of concerns including eating disorders, depression, anxiety, stress management, "pure-O" OCD, and body image. She works collaboratively with all clients to help them reach their short- and long-term goals. She also incorporates other evidence-based interventions such as motivational enhancement, mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help clients develop new, healthier coping skills.

Dr. Zweig graduated from the University of Michigan (1999) and earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Rutgers University (2005). She completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Yale University School of Medicine (2003-2004) and a postdoctoral fellowship at the American Institute for Cognitive Therapy (2004-2005). Prior to establishing Union Square Cognitive Therapy in 2010, she created and directed the Eating Disorders and Weight Management Program at the American Institute for Cognitive Therapy. She is the co-author of Treatment Plans and Interventions for Bulimia and Binge Eating Disorder. Dr. Zweig is a Certified Cognitive Therapist, a Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, a Founding Fellow of the NYC-CBT Association, and an iaedp Certified Eating Disorders Specialist & Supervisor.
