I love working with couples. My approach to couples is rooted in Emotion-Focused Therapy, an attachment-focused, evidence-based, gold standard model for relationship and relationship-oriented therapy. The treatment process is transparent and the work is collaborative.
My approach to individual therapy is integrative. I flexibly draw on a relational and attachment-based perspective of the person presenting their struggles--whether depression, anxiety, grief or difficult life circumstances--while using skills and strategies from DBT, CBT, mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to partner with the client in relieving distress and aligning their life with their values and needs.
I specialize in helping people who are struggling to make sense of changes to their roles in life. Often, this disorientation and loss comes after parenthood or fertility struggles, divorce, a second marriage and blended family roles, or death of a loved one.
