We all go through periods of intense stress, worry, or sadness. If you've been concealing parts of yourself in an attempt to cope with those feelings, therapy can help you grow through these experiences, toward fulfillment.

When a client brings me their story, we work together to understand it, through trust, humor, creativity, and perseverance. I respect each client's strengths, and believe they can harness their own potential to live a more aware and satisfying life. My style is warm and nonjudgmental, and I am a sex-positive therapist.

I've worked successfully with clients who are grappling with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, life transitions, pregnancy, parenting, self-esteem, and sexuality. I work with adults and adolescents.

I am a clinical social worker by training. This means I look at the whole person - their background, their experience, the culture around them - to understand the issue they've come to therapy to work on. In my practice I draw on various modalities that I feel would best fit the needs of my clients, and have postgraduate training both in clinical therapy with adolescents, and in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I also offer outdoor psychotherapy, and provide walking sessions for those who prefer a non-traditional therapy setting.

I have experience with short-term crisis counseling as well as longer-term insight oriented work. We can build an approach that fits your needs, balancing the practical with the exploratory.
