I’m Emily Imondi, LMHC, and my clinical background spans school psychology, mental health counseling in community mental health, and private practice. I spent 10 years working as a school psychologist before transitioning into private practice, bringing with me a deep understanding of the systems we navigate, the relational patterns we develop, and the interpersonal dynamics that shape our experiences. I hold two master’s degrees: one in School Psychology from Fordham University and another in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness from NYU.
I enjoy working with thoughtful, introspective adults and couples navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, questions of identity and self-worth, and the complexities of balancing personal, professional, and family demands. I have a particular interest in women’s mental health and the ways health-related challenges and changing life circumstances can shape our sense of self and our relationships.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and depth-oriented, grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with a deeper understanding of ourselves, our relationships, and the experiences that have shaped us. I integrate a health and wellness perspective with principles of positive psychology, helping clients cultivate greater meaning, purpose, engagement, and connection in their lives. I’m drawn to work that helps people move beyond simply navigating challenges toward developing a richer understanding of themselves and creating lives that feel more intentional and fulfilling.
