Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
In private practice as an individual psychoanalytic psychotherapist for over 30 years, I've had an emphasis on treating adults over 60, but my practice includes adults of all ages. I also currently lead psychoanalytic psychotherapy groups for older adults. Having completed all the requirements of the training, in October 2023 I'll be receiving my certificate as a Certified Group Psychotherapist. I founded and directed the Older Adult Treatment Service at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. I've also been a supervisor and on faculty as a seminar/workshop teacher at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy; and a supervisor at the Washington Square Institute. My article, "Being in time: the problem of hope in older adulthood, the last developmental frontier," was published in "Issues in Psychoanalytic Psychology", Volume 37, 2015, and can be downloaded on the website I founded: Aha! (At Home Attention) Psychotherapy At Your Home (ahahomepsychotherapy.com). This website is a directory for homebound people in NYC to locate home-visiting psychotherapists in their zip code. There is an extensive bio about me on that site for anyone interested.
