Emilie Clark, LCSW, is a licensed social worker in private practice who works with children, adolescents, adults, and family units. Emilie sees patients in person in the financial district of new york city as well as virtually. Emilie graduated from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has also trained with the Ackerman Institute for the Family’s Gender and Family Project in work with transgender and gender expansive children and youth and their families. Emilie is also currently persuing advanced training in psychoanalysis from a contemporary interpersonal school of thought. Emilie is passionate about the role of anti-oppressive work in the therapy room and believes that therapy falls short of healing without an integrated understanding of the impact of interpersonal, systemic, and intergenerational traumas. Emilie views herself as a co-explorer alongside her patients, investigating the experiences, relationships, and values that have shaped their journey thus far and using this information to imagine a future that feels whole, well, and fulfilled. She offers a warm and affirming therapeutic space for patients to come as they are, explore their internal and relational worlds, and work collaboratively toward the goals that feel right to them.
