I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), working together with my clients to develop a focused, personalized plan to achieve their goals. This typically includes addressing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors through learning specific skills to take control of their emotions. I am one of the co-founders of NYCBT, a private psychology group practice in Manhattan, and I also have an office in Greenwich, CT.
I specialize in treating people who have experienced trauma, and I offer personalized, effective approaches to help my clients learn to live with and overcome the impact of these traumatic experiences, including PTSD. I also often work with people suffering from anxiety, panic, and phobias, as well as anger management and relationship issues.
Finally, I have led DBT skills training groups for many years, and co-authored a book on DBT skills called "Self-Directed DBT Skills." I have helped many people learn DBT skills to better manage their thoughts, emotions, and behavior, and I look forward to working together to help you make the changes you want in your life.
