I am a .5-generation Korean American psychotherapist with 14 years in private practice in New York City and licensing in NY, NJ, PA, and CO. As a member of the Women’s Mental Health Consortium, I specialize in healing the impacts of complex childhood trauma—guiding clients to rebuild self-worth and cultivate a meaningful, autonomous identity.
Over my career, I’ve supported individuals through relationships and cultural conflicts, burnout, substance use, and familial trauma—frequently addressing issues like shame, anxiety, loneliness, low self-esteem, and existential despair. My clinical methods blend CBT, ACT, mindfulness-informed approaches, attachment theory, harm reduction, and motivational interviewing, enriched by my own healing journey.
I’ve worked in reproductive and community mental health settings, including roles supporting opioid-addicted pregnant women, mothers with HIV/AIDS, and post-COVID medical professionals at Northwell Health. I was qualified to be a CASAC in New York, complementing my expertise in substance-related and complex trauma cases.
Deeply committed to evolving women’s mental health, I incorporate emerging challenges like social media stress and climate anxiety into my practice—helping clients heal in context, build resilience, and find purpose.
