Alicia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Grief Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional who completed her Masters degree from New York University. Alicia has worked in a variety of clinical settings (including New York Presbyterian Hospital and University of Colorado) and has furthered her clinical education through various post masters certificates and trainings to provide the best clinical insights and therapeutic approaches for her clients.
A bit about my approach to therapy: Alicia's style is warm, interactive, and strengths based. Alicia draws from various therapeutic modalities including CBT, psychodynamic, interpersonal and solution based. Areas of specialization include anxiety, grief/loss, self-esteem and body image, trauma, relationships and family dynamics, stress, athletic performance, and life transitions.
What you can expect from our first session: Alicia's mission is to create a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space where one can build better self-awareness, learn new coping strategies, and take meaningful steps towards reaching one's goal(s). Alicia will collaboratively work with clients to determine whether short term (up to 8 sessions) or longer term therapy is the best fit for their current needs.
