Hilary Kopple, LCSW, specializes in anxiety and relational trauma, working virtually with adults across New York State. Her clients tend to be capable and accomplished but privately overwhelmed: overthinkers, overfunctioners, and people-pleasers who look fine from the outside and don't feel it from the inside, often with a difficult parent somewhere in the picture. Her approach is integrative and trauma-informed, treating the mind and the body as connected. She draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor and Somatic Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), depending on what a client is actually dealing with.

Hilary earned her BA from Dartmouth College and her MS in Social Work from Columbia University. She has completed advanced training through the Internal Family Systems Institute, the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, and a postmaster's certificate in advanced CBT at NYU, along with certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional. Alongside her private practice, she has spent over 20 years in school-based mental health in New York City public schools, providing crisis intervention, conflict mediation, and clinical support to students and families.
