I am Hannah and I am the Founder and Lead Therapist at Hannah Tishman Psychotherapy, LCSW P.C. I launched my career after graduating from Columbia University with a Masters of Social Work. While working towards my LCSW, I worked in community mental health, providing individual and family therapy to those affected by health and socioeconomic disparities, as well as intergenerational trauma. This led me to work in a large group private practice in NYC, providing therapy and serving as the Vice President of Operations. I then founded my own therapy practice, focusing on trauma recovery and EMDR. I look forward to connecting with clients and working towards healing.

I work with adults, primarily in their 20s-40s who want to cope with the impacts of past trauma, reduce anxiety, improve interpersonal relationships, increase self-esteem, and navigate life transitions. I often work with other therapists as well. I am trained in Attachment-Focused EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) - a therapy that can allow you to heal and distance yourself from traumatic memories or difficult symptoms, in turn reducing and eliminating distress.

I take a relational approach to therapy, using the therapeutic relationship to model safety, boundaries, and trust. I am an eclectic therapist, using IFS, EMDR, and somatic therapies. I will often teach her clients about the mind-body connection in hopes of empowering them to heal. It is my hope that together we can identify any barriers to inner-peace and make positive change occur in your life.
