Marriage & Family Therapist, LMFT-D
I am an LMFT and owner of Artful Couples Therapy, a telehealth practice in NY specializing in creative and performing artists.
I have extensive experience in the entertainment industry as a singer, actor, writer, director, and producer. Connecting with artists is second nature to me. I have a deep understanding of stressors associated with creative careers and their impact on relationships and mental health. These may include underemployment; financial instability; performance anxiety; managing rejection; gender and/or beauty constructs; body image; social media presence; exhausting schedules; ageism; sexism; sustaining romantic partnerships; raising a family; career transitions; and the struggle to separate artistic status from identity.
In addition to seeing clients in private practice, I am on staff at Metropolitan Center for Mental Health; teach in the Marriage & Family Therapy Program at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology; supervise interns at the Parnes clinic; and am on the counseling team at Manhattan School of Music.
