Professional statement

Dr. Neuhof provides a warm, safe, and dynamic therapeutic space where clients can express their innermost thoughts, gain insight, heal wounds, and move toward greater confidence, connection, and joy. With 25 years of clinical and supervisory experience working with both children and adults, she is able to quickly attune to clients and help them feel understood and at ease. She listens closely and taps into fears, inner conflicts, and dreams while helping people uncover meaningful connections that strengthen their sense of self. While deep inner work takes time, many clients begin experiencing relief, clarity, and positive change early in the process.

Dr. Neuhof’s work spans the full arc of relationships, including dating, intimacy, attachment, couples and marriage concerns, parenting, separation, and loss. She is a seasoned trauma-informed psychologist with experience helping individuals who have endured emotional, physical, sexual, and narcissistic abuse, and may be grappling with Complex PTSD, dissociation, depersonalization, nervous system regulation, anxiety, depression, and feelings of meaninglessness.

Her background as a university counseling center director, crisis specialist, presenter, consultant, and state board member has also prepared her to work effectively with medical and mental health professionals, and those navigating the complexities of management, over-responsibility, vicarious trauma, and life balance. Dr. Neuhof welcomes questions regarding the therapeutic process and the best approach for yourself or a loved one.

Message to clients

Accompanying my clients on their journeys of self-discovery, growth, and healing is a true privilege. Each therapeutic relationship is unique, and I strive to bring genuine presence, warmth, spontaneity, and depth grounded in expertise into the room.

My approach integrates advanced training in psychodynamic and relational psychotherapies, family systems, humanistic, trauma-informed, developmental, multicultural, DBT, CBT, motivational, neuroscience-informed, play and body-based models in working with individuals, couples, and families.

I also work closely with a small group of depth-oriented and highly skilled psychotherapists with different areas of expertise and fee structures. During your initial phone consultation, we will discuss your needs and decide whether I—or one of my colleagues—may be the best fit for you.
