I work with adults navigating life in New York City. Many are high-achieving, perfectionistic, and outwardly successful, yet struggle with anxiety, depression, attachment patterns, or eating disorders. At the start of therapy, they struggle with a strong inner critic, rumination, or self-doubt. My clients will gain skills to help quiet their critical voice and strengthen a more compassionate one, gain clarity around their identity and values, and heal early relational wounds through deep, trauma-informed, relational work.My approach is trauma-informed and relational, drawing from psychodynamic and parts-based work. We work to soften the critical inner voice, strengthen self-compassion and heal early relational wounds. I do this through direct, yet compassionate communication, and tend to incorporate levity and mindfulness into the therapy room.I hold extensive post-graduate training in the psychodynamic treatment of eating disorders from the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and in couples counseling from the Ackerman Institute for Families.
