Clinical Social Work/Therapist
New York
I am a New York licensed psychotherapist who enjoys working with adults (20-40s) dealing with difficulties including life transitions, self-esteem, identity development, and relationship issues as well as mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, disordered eating, and OCD. My practice is informed by psychodynamic theory to help my patients develop the self-knowledge needed for a more fulfilling and purposeful life.
I believe that the work is most effective when the bond between therapist and client is strong, and there is a sense of safety and mutual respect. Always practicing from a place of humility and curiosity, I provide a supportive, judgment-free space to help my clients access strengths and freely express themselves.
Systems of oppression, not individual pathology, are the root of much suffering in today's society. I believe I am only as free as the most marginalized among us and this tenet of social justice informs my work with clients across the identity spectrum.
