Dr. Charnas’ practice has a strong focus on interpersonal relationships. She works both with individuals and with couples at a variety of relationship phases including dating, engagement, marriage, divorce contemplation, and post-marriage.

Dr. Charnas is active, relatable, and directive, emphasizing patient strengths and adaptive functioning. Treatment is focused on the here-and-now, but historical experiences and relationships are explored with the purpose of gaining insight into present conflicts.
