I am a licensed clinical social worker now based in New York, but I originally come from the south! I have years of experience in inpatient and outpatient settings and I am now a psychotherapist and founder of my solo practice, Jordan Srochi Therapy, in Lower Manhattan.
My style is relational, warm and supportive and I tailor therapy to my clients as individuals. I often work with individuals struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, or stress related to their relationships, family or life transitions. I offer a calm, collaborative space to examine inner patterns and experiences for clients to better understand themselves.
As a relational therapist, I view the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for the work together. I pull from a variety of therapeutic approaches including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, attachment-based work, psychodynamic theory, and trauma-informed care. Whether I sit with someone while they cry or join them in laughter, I am right alongside my clients for whatever their needs might be that day! I believe that therapy can at times be hard but is also fun, transformative, healing and exciting and I'm eager to be a part of that journey with others.
