ABOUT ME

When people are considering therapy, often times the hardest step is making a first phone call. Having spent years training and working in the field, I know first-hand that the therapeutic process can be both challenging and extremely rewarding.  I have deep respect for the process of choosing a therapist and value the process that one must undertake in order to find the perfect fit.

My style of working is relational and psychodynamically informed and I believe that each therapeutic relationship is unique. The best outcomes are achieved when you feel comfortable with the person you are working with and together we will create a space that feels safe.

PROFESSIONAL CONSULTATION

Supervision

I am committed to furthering the social work profession and enjoy working with newly graduated social workers. I have a strong interest in coaching/mentoring others who are just beginning a new psychotherapy practice as well as working with those who have been in practice for years, looking to connect with a like-minded supervisor. I offer you and your practice support while guiding you to a deeper level of clinical understanding and conceptualization of the work. Supervision is offered to both individuals as well as groups (maximum of 4).

Case Consultation

With over 15 years of experience working with survivors of trauma, I am well-versed in trauma theory, crisis intervention and the many clinical presentations that manifest when people are struggling with such issues in their current lives and personal histories. I assist colleagues in navigating these complex issues as they arise in treatment and provide close collaboration throughout the duration of treatment.

Workshops and Professional Training

Although prevalent in every culture and community, many people do not know the facts when it comes to issues of interpersonal violence. I am committed to educating others on these topics and have years of experience facilitating educational "101" lectures and interactive group discussions. Presentations are tailored to your group's needs and interests. Past clients include: Joyful Heart Foundation, Manhattan District Attorney's Office, The Westchester Hispanic Coalition, New York City Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Training Institute, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York, The Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York Presbyterian Weill-Cornell Medical Center.
